DJ Ants – Ants in Your Pants

So I listened to DJ Ants GleeMin’ Glee MegaMix and love his style. This is his first mix CD, posted back in March 2011. He’s got a great dance/electro twist that I really enjoy. Check it out! And enjoy your MusicMonday!

Adele – Set Fire To The Rain (Maxim Andreev Fire Mix)

This Maxim Andreev seems to love his filters. This mix has a decent back beat to it, but there’s not much in the way of clever editing in this. It’s the acapella track filtered in to sound less harsh, but ends up being drowned out by the underlying beat. It is an entertaining song, but I wouldn’t include it in a set, not my style.

This original song could really “catch fire”, it’s a great melody that could be hooked with a crazy build-up and explosion. I’m still looking for that perfect remix though, haha.

I let it fall, my heart,
And as it fell, you rose to claim it
It was dark and I was over
Until you kissed my lips and you saved me

My hands, they’re strong
But my knees were far too weak
To stand in your arms
Without falling to your feet

But there’s a side to you
That I never knew, never knew.
All the things you’d say
They were never true, never true,
And the games you play
You would always win, always win.

[Chorus:]
But I set fire to the rain,
Watched it pour as I touched your face,
Well, it burned while I cried
‘Cause I heard it screaming out your name, your name!

When I lay with you
I could stay there
Close my eyes
Feel you’re here forever
You and me together
Nothing gets better

‘Cause there’s a side to you
That I never knew, never knew,
All the things you’d say,
They were never true, never true,
And the games you play
You would always win, always win.

[Chorus:]
But I set fire to the rain,
Watched it pour as I touched your face,
Well, it burned while I cried
‘Cause I heard it screaming out your name, your name!

I set fire to the rain
And I threw us into the flames
Well, it felt something died
‘Cause I knew that that was the last time, the last time!

Sometimes I wake up by the door,
That heart you caught, must be waiting for you
Even now when we’re already over
I can’t help myself from looking for you.

[Chorus:]
I set fire to the rain,
Watch it pour as I touch your face,
Well, it burned while I cried
‘Cause I heard it screaming out your name, your name

I set fire to the rain,
And I threw us into the flames
Well, it felt something died
‘Cause I knew that that was the last time
The last time, oh, oh!

Let it burn
Let it burn
Let it burn

Nicola Roberts, “Disco Blisters & a Comedown”

Why do the lights in the kebab shop
Make this guy look less hot?
He’s looking like John Prescott

It is a pop song about partying way too late and then going home with a dude who really does not look all that great when the lights turn on and you’ve begun sobering up; in fact, he looks like the former Deputy Prime Minister of England. This is what brilliant pop songs should sound like.

I completely agree, I’m glad I tumbled across this song. Very infectious.

Adele – Turning Tables (DJ Santos Turning Tribal Remix)

Normally I prefer the Glee Cast version of this song, because Gywneth Paltrow kicks ass, but this tribal beat really won me over.
