Throughout Disney’s history, the creators have stuck to a set structure when it comes to the gender roles of their characters. Females are consistently in need of help and the men are always there to rescue them. Over the years, the evolution of characters has brought both ruin and fame to Disney.

Although my best friend loves Ariel I dislike her. All I saw was Ariel being a disobedient kid. I am more fond of Merida type characters.

Hi Zac, I am the author and I don’t see how you were able to copy and post this without my permission. It is not your work and it has not been properly credited to me aside from your little mark at the very bottom.

Thanks for contacting me, I’ll take it down the embed and link to the storify page. It was not copied, but embedded from Storify. I think there is an option from Storify to prevent it from being embeddable.
